SENIORRÅDGIVER, AQUATEAM COWI
Bjørn Rusten har vært seniorrådgiver i Aquateam COWI siden 2013. Tidligere har han vært ansatt i Aquateam siden 1985, med seks års erfaring fra Norges Tekniske Høyskole (NTH) og SINTEF, og ett års erfaring fra Montana State University, MT, USA.
Rusten er en internasjonal ekspert på mekanisk, biologisk og kjemisk rensing av kommunalt og industrielt avløpsvann, med mer enn 100 artikler publisert i fagfellevurderte vitenskapelige tidsskrifter eller konferanser. Blant annet har Rusten erfaring fra mange internasjonale prosjekter i Europa, Nord- og Sør-Amerika, Asia, Australia og New Zealand.
Mer enn 35 års erfaring innen: Laboratorie, pilot og fullskalatesting av både fysisk-kjemiske og biologiske renseprosesser; oppstart, utbedring av feil og optimalisering av fullskala renseanlegg; forundersøkelser; foreløpig og detaljert prosessdesign.
Rusten har erfaring som prosjektleder for flere internasjonale FoU-prosjekter, og har i tillegg vært veileder for M.Sc.- og Ph.D.-studenter ved tre universiteter.
